David Bromstad, the original HGTV Design Star and host of the “Color Splash” show, recently launched his furniture and décor collection at Grandin Road. He is also aligned with Bed Bath & Beyond for soft bath by licensee Mills.X

How do you define your personal style?

My style would definitely be eclectic with a touch of whimsy.

What’s the last thing you bought for yourself that you really love?

The last thing purchased that I really love are these gorgeous new chairs for my sitting area in the kitchen.

I must confess, since I was the one who designed them for my new collection, the purchase price was super reasonable. It’s so fantastic to create furniture with a vision and see it come to life, then it becomes pieces in your own home.

It’s kind of fun to sit on yourself.
