Thomas William Twyford (1849–1921), sanitary ware manufacturer
1849 September 23rd. Born in Hanover Street, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, the eldest son of Thomas Twyford (1827-1872), earthenware manufacturer.
He came from a long line of north Staffordshire potters, a descendant of Joshua Twyford (bap. 1640, d. 1729), a potter in Hanley.
